Blog Post 3

I recently finished the Google Power Searching unit. I learned a lot of new things during this unit. One thing I learned was that you can "search by image" in order to find more information about a specific picture. Google allows you to drop the image into Google images and it generates the best possible query to help expand your knowledge on the image and its background. This tool will be very helpful for me if I'm doing a research project, and I find an old picture. I can then find out the meaning behind the picture and connect it to my topic. Another thing I learned was that you can filter image results by color. Going back to the research project example, if I had found an image, but it was low quality, I could filter the image by color to find other exact copies of the image in better quality. This Google unit has taught me many helpful hints and shortcuts that I will definitely use to my advantage.
