 Super Bowl Sunday

This past Sunday, two talented football teams went head-to-head in a Super Bowl for the ages. The #1 ranked offense squaring up against the #1 ranked defense. Except the game didn’t go as planned. The first play of the game, Peyton Manning let the snap soar right over his head, resulting in a safety and an enormous momentum swing as well. The Seahawks took an early 2-0 lead and didn’t look back. At half the score was 22-0, the Seahawks’ defense dominating Peyton Manning and the Broncos. And as if it couldn’t get any worse for the Broncos, the first play of the second half was an 87-yard kickoff return by Percy Harvin of the Seahawks. This pretty much put Peyton Manning and the Broncos’ hopes of winning to rest. Fortunately for Broncos fans, they did manage to put some points on the board. The final score was 43-8. The Seahawks’ stellar defense did not disappoint in the spotlight. There are many people that do not watch the Super Bowl for the football game; they choose to watch it for the halftime show and the commercials, which by the way did not disappoint this year.
